The Park Bangalore has been an iconic culinary destination on MG road in Bangalore for years now. When we heard that the pool side Aqua restaurant is coming out with a new menu, we decided to have a dekko at it. I loved the pool side sitting on a clear Bangalore night with nice mood lighting for some good cocktails and yummy food.
Great news for everyone – Aqua Live has happy hours every day from 6pm to 9pm! Isn’t that a perfect excuse for a quick post-work drink after a hectic day? With a well stocked bar having some of the most wonderful brands, it is a chance not to be missed specially for office get-together or chill out with friends over a game!
In the fun dining menu, in starters section, tried out the smoking red hot chilly chicken. This had red chilli paste, diced chicken, garlic, onion, bell pepper & spring onion. I really loved this to go along with my cocktail. It is one of the most popular starters on the menu too.
For sea food lovers, you can try out the Frittura mista which had the best of the ocean like calamari, mussels, shrimps, basa fish with a hint of chilli, lime and extra virgin olive oil. The calamari and shrimps were my favorite from this.
There is a good selection of Pizzas and Parathas too. We enjoyed the 4 cheese pizza which had mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, scarmozza cheese and Parmesan cheese. If you like pastas, would definitely recommend the Mushroom risotto if you are a vegetarian. There is also a chicken risotto with a hint of saffron if you like it.
The Park Bangalore has always been known for it’s perfect Italian food. It has been the go-to place for many Italians visiting Bangalore for an authentic experience too. That’s why we liked the vegetarian Fettuccine tossed with rosemary flavored sauce and rich cream which had extra virgin oil and Parmesan cheese too. I was really impressed with the vegetarian options available in the Aqua Live menu.
My personal favorite in the non-vegetarian pasta section was Linguini pasta with shrimps along with broccoli in tomato and cream sauce. I liked the generous dash of extra virgin olive oil in this which ensures that I enjoy a healthy meal which is quite delicious too!
Now coming to main course, The Park Bangalore came out with a unique concept of Indian bento box as the main idea is to have dinner while you are partying too. So this veg and non-veg thali were presented in Japanese Bento Box style but with unique Indian flavors. The vegetarian bento box was called Veg thali from Punjab and had a combo of Sarson ki saag, ambi paneer tikkah, maa ki dal, pulao and missi roti. It is actually quite sufficient for 2 people.
Really loved the new menu launch at Aqua Live and looking forward to more fun and interesting evenings there at The Park Bangalore!
