Chariot Beach Resort in Mahabalipuram has lot of wonderful adventure activities that you can take part with your family or with your team. They have some of the best instructors in the town and also the security arrangements are top-notch. One of the most interesting activity we did was the Burma Bridge walk.

The Burma Bridge structure has two parallel ropes – one above the other – strung from poles / trees, at a height of 25 feet. Participants are divided into teams. At one time, two participants will climb the structure from two opposite ends using ladders and walk across the ropes to the centre of the structure. They will walk on one rope while holding the other one at shoulder / head height for support.

The participants were secured with harnesses and the guiding / belay ropes were handled by instructors. Though it was scary initially, the confidence given to us by the instructors egged us on and we completed the walk without any worries.

The adrenaline rush that you get after doing such adventurous activities put you in the right frame of mind for the rest of the day and you become more productive in your work. There is over 5 acres of adventure outbound activities area only of its kind in Mahabalipuram. Trained activity Co-ordinators are the best in the industry. Largest set of games to plan for an tailor made OBT program for the Corporates & Leisure groups.

The instructors were the best in the business and they ensured that even if any participant slipped from the Burma bridge, they could rescue them in minutes without any physical harm to them. Kudos to them for such meticulous planning and working!

Chariot Neighborhood Adventure Activity Village is full of fun and provides numerous thrilling and skilled adventurous activities for all ages. Enjoy the mud-wrestling, pottery and cycling amongst other super-exciting games and challenges.

There is also a Catamaran ride – this is a traditional fisherman’s kattumaram (originated from the tamil word Kattai maram) or fishing boat carved out of wood.  You can take a ride on the traditional fisherman’s boat and have a dip in the deep seas and also indulge in some fishing too!
